Dr. Simon Knüsel

Dr Simon Knüsel studied environmental sciences at ETH Zurich. After graduating, he was an intern at the Section for Biosafety of the Canton of Zurich and worked on the topic of neobiota. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the ecology of the tree of heaven at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL. During the dissertation and as a research assistant, he particularly dealt with the current and expected future growth of the tree of heaven and its spread in Ticino, southern Switzerland. After completing his doctorate, he also taught introductory courses in the statistics programme R at the University of Zurich.

After exciting experiences in training as a childhood educator, he supports Dialog N in various projects, especially the N-Trail project.
